# Locations

The **Locations** section of the Dashboard is used to manage the locations defined in your StifleR environment.

A location in StifleR contains one or more n[etwork groups](/stifler/operations-and-features/overview-and-navigation/network-topology/network-groups.md) which are often separated by a WAN link. For example, this might represent a physical office location.

The Locations section of the dashboard is separated by VPN and Non-VPN locations:

## Locations list

The Location list will display all of the locations which are not considered VPN Locations. To view the Network Groups assigned to the location, select the **arrow** next to the Name.

This will display the [network groups](/stifler/operations-and-features/overview-and-navigation/network-topology/network-groups.md) associated with the location. You can drill down further to display the assigned networks or select the **Edit icon** to modify the [network group](/stifler/operations-and-features/overview-and-navigation/network-topology/network-groups.md).

## VPN location list

The **VPN location list** is similar to the Location list, but only displays locations which are considered VPN.
