# Locations

The "Locations" section of the Dashboard is used to manage the locations defined in your StifleR environment.

A Location in StifleR contains one or more [Network Groups](/stifler/2.10/operations/dashboard/overview-and-navigation/network-topology/network-groups.md) which are often separated by a WAN link. For example, this might represent a physical office location.

The Locations section of the dashboard is separated by VPN and Non-VPN Locations:

## Locations List

The Location List will display all of the locations which are not considered VPN Locations. To view the Network Groups assigned to the location, select the **arrow** next to the Name.

This will display the [Network Groups](/stifler/2.10/operations/dashboard/overview-and-navigation/network-topology/network-groups.md) associated with the location. You can drill down further to display the assigned Networks or select the **Edit icon** to modify the [Network group](/stifler/2.10/operations/dashboard/overview-and-navigation/network-topology/network-groups.md).

## VPN Location List

The VPN Location List is similar to the Location List, but only displays locations which are considered VPN.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://documentation.2pintsoftware.com/stifler/2.10/operations/dashboard/overview-and-navigation/network-topology/locations.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
