# IGEL 12

The **IGEL 12** template will install an IGEL operating system image (.bin file, uploaded to a content item) onto a device; see the [IGEL website](https://www.igel.com/igel-solution-family/igel-os/) for additional details.

This template leverages the [Apply IGEL image](https://documentation.2pintsoftware.com/deployr/reference/step-definitions/apply-igel-image) step definition.

Note that this task sequence will execute only from Windows PE; support for Linux boot images will be added later.
