Join Linux to Active Directory
This is only supported in DeployR Enterprise. Applies to: DeployR 1.2 and later.
The Join Linux to Active Directory step is used to join a Linux device to Active Directory. (Today, only Ubuntu is supported.)
In additon to specifying the DNS domain name and optionally an OS, you must also configure the JoinAccount and JoinPassword secrets on the DeployR server using PowerShell:
These values are then retrived by the step when it is executing and not written to disk on the device. (These can also be set as task sequence variables, but this is a less secure option.)
Note: Do not specify the domain on the JoinAccount value (use "User" instead of "User@fqdn.com").
